A mysterious library that suddenly appeared in front of JR Kuroiso Station, like walking through a forest 🌲 "MIRURU" designed by architect Mari Ito overturns the conventional concept of libraries with its artistic space!

This exhibition lets you experience the architectural philosophy of Sou Fujimoto, who operates design offices in Tokyo, Paris, and Shenzhen and develops various projects worldwide.

His architecture is like a "forest" born from his architectural vision rooted in the mixed forests of Hokkaido as his primal landscape. The spaces created by transparency and nested structures truly demonstrate the new possibilities of contemporary architecture.

The venue displays architectural models from his early work to his latest projects, including a 1/5 scale model of the "Grand Roof Ring," the symbol of the Expo site. You can experience walking through a forest of architecture 🌲

A new cultural hub in Sendai, the City of Trees ✨
Sendai Ryokusaikan opened in 2023 in the Oimawashi area of Aobayama Park. Designed by architect Kazuya Saito, this beautiful wooden structure offers a contemporary interpretation of the spatial composition of the Edo period Katakura residence.

Themed around "connection," the design connects interior and exterior through corridors, and people through shared spaces. The interior, which blends wooden warmth with modern design, offers exhibitions, cafes, and shops where visitors can experience the culture and nature of Sendai and Miyagi 🌲
